Amazon Multi-Channel Fulfillment in 2026: What Sellers Should Know
Amazon Multi-Channel Fulfillment (MCF) has changed a lot over the past year, and going into 2026, it’s becoming a much more attractive option for sellers running multi-marketplace operations.
Marketplace Coverage
Sellers can route non-Amazon orders into Amazon’s fulfillment network and use the same inventory pool across channels, simplifying operations and reducing the need to split stock. Amazon now allows sellers to fulfill orders from all major marketplaces using MCF. A major milestone happened in May 2025, when Walmart officially allowed sellers to use Amazon MCF to fulfill Walmart Marketplace orders. This marked a big shift in how sellers can approach cross-marketplace fulfillment.
Blank Box Shipping
One of the biggest improvements is the availability of blank boxes. Amazon now offers unbranded (blank) boxes in almost all fulfillment centers across the US. There is no extra charge for shipping in blank boxes, which removes one of the biggest concerns sellers previously had when using MCF for non-Amazon orders.
Amazon Logistics and Marketplace Restrictions
Amazon also continues to expand Amazon Logistics as a delivery option for MCF orders. However, some marketplaces still place restrictions on carrier usage, so sellers should always review marketplace policies before enabling this option. For example, even though Walmart allows MCF, Amazon Logistics is not permitted (check with your solution provider to see if they can block Amazon Logistics when fulfilling your Walmart orders). Yet Amazon Logistics is a strong competitive alternative to other shipping carriers, so you should allow it whenever possible, for example, when fulfilling orders with MCF from your official website.
Waived Amazon Logistics Surcharge
Amazon previously charged a 5% surcharge on MCF orders when you chose to block Amazon Logistics. This fee has now been waived and will remain waived until January 14, 2027. For sellers using MCF at scale, this can result in noticeable cost savings.

TikTok Shop, USPS, and AFTN
TikTok Shop recently stopped supporting external USPS labels. Those labels must now be generated by TikTok. To support this change, Amazon introduced a new tracking number format called AFTN (Amazon Fulfillment Tracking Number).
AFTN is essentially an umbrella tracking number that becomes available within minutes after the order is submitted. It signals that Amazon has received the order and is processing it, even before the final carrier tracking number is assigned. Once the package is handed off to the carrier, the final tracking number is linked automatically. So, even if Amazon ships an order with USPS, TikTok will receive an AFTN tracking number, and keep your TikTok Shop account compliant. Please note that this solution is fully approved by TikTok and was done in cooperation with Amazon. If you automate TikTok Shop orders using MCF, make sure your software provider supports AFTN. At the time of writing, AFTN is supported only for TikTok Shop orders.
MCF 2026 Preferred Pricing
Amazon also introduced Multi-Channel Fulfillment 2026 Preferred Pricing. Starting January 15, 2026, eligible sellers can receive discounted MCF fees along with FBA credits. This program is designed to reward sellers who consistently use Amazon’s fulfillment network while selling across multiple channels.
End-to-End Supply Chain Services
MCF is increasingly positioned as part of a broader supply chain solution. Sellers can combine services such as Amazon Global Logistics (AGL), Amazon Warehousing and Distribution (AWD), and MCF to benefit from optimized inventory placement, automated replenishment, and reduced shipping and storage costs across the entire supply chain.

Simple and Predictable Pricing
Amazon does not charge a referral fee for MCF orders. With MCF, sellers pay a single fulfillment fee that includes pick, pack, and ship. This makes costs easier to predict and compare across fulfillment options.
No Additional Setup Required
If you already sell on Amazon and use FBA, there is no additional sign-up required to start using MCF. You can begin immediately by creating an MCF order through the quick order form in Seller Central or by working with a solution provider that supports MCF.
Closing Thoughts
For sellers running a true multichannel operation, MCF in 2026 is no longer just a backup option. With full marketplace coverage, Walmart’s official approval, free blank box shipping, waived surcharges, new tracking standards, preferred pricing, and deeper supply chain integration, it is becoming a core fulfillment strategy worth serious consideration.
